Archie Pickles (pictured) of Splitz Gymnastics Club got through the South West Prelims and came in the top 8 in semi-finals to earn his place in the 9-10 years age group Tumbling National Finals in Telford 2016.
Archie performed exceptionally well at the finals and won the Gold Medal for the 9 - 10 age group, making him best tumbler in the country in his age category.
Archie attends Oldmixon School and has been training with Splitz Gym Club for 4 years. He trains for 7 hours a week and he has excelled in tumbling and will now go on to the next level.
2 Weeks prior to this he also won Gold Medal in the mixed pairs with his partner Maddison at the South West Acrobatics Championships.
